Flossy Followup

This morning, like every morning, I got a notification on my phone from TimeHop. If you’re not familiar with the app, it’s a social media hub created to show you what you’ve posted on your linked accounts on a specific date over the years. Sometimes the app is really wonderful for reminiscing on memories from your grade school years as well as a reminder for your friend’s birthdays. Sometimes the app just reminds you of how weird you were in middle school when you updated your Facebook status for literally everything (Praise the Lord for maturity)!

Today’s TimeHop reminder showed where I updated my FB status 7 years ago today to say “has nothing to do. :(“. I read it and literally laughed out loud! Isn’t it funny how our lives change as we age? Notice, too, the sad face I added as if having nothing to do is a bad thing. That day would have been the summer before my 9th grade year of school where I had a lot less worries and obviously a lot more time on my hands.

Fast forward 7 years and the summer is very different. Since my last blog post, I have gone through finals week, moving back home with my parents, college graduation, a trip to Destin, Florida, starting part time work at my dad’s State Farm Insurance office, a summer trunk show, the opening of our first booth location at The Vine Boutique in Warner Robins, Georgia, and a trip to California! All of those moments have been wonderful and thrilling, but the summer break is already half way over, and it has been a whirlwind! I have felt pretty overwhelmed lately with all these adult responsibilities I’ve incurred, and the blog has definitely been put on the back burner.

I’m writing this post today to let you guys know that I’m still here! My goal for The Flossy Peach blog is to at least give y’all a weekly update on what is going on in my world as well as my thoughts on all things retail, fashion, travel, and more! Life transitions bring stress and late nights, but they’re also the best times to regroup and refresh with goals and dreams to achieve in mind. I’m super excited, as always, for what’s to come for The Flossy Peach!
